As you
know, AllThingsUs is designed to invest 25% of our
pre-expenses/pre-tax income to support people around the globe who
are working to „make it happen“ for themselves. We're not
charity. We do this through financing increments of microcredits on
www.kiva.org. And we are happy to report that the first of those microcedits has
been paid back by Ahmad in Palestine. He used the money to buy a
solar panel and a tank so he can have hot water for his family
without electricity. Other borrowers we support are also paying back
on time.
We have
re-invested the money into Martha Herlinda in Equador, She buys fruit
and vegetables to sell them on a local market. Our second new loan
goes to Milton in Uganda. He has bought a stock of daily medications
for his newly founded pharmacy (cold caps, flu meds, malaria drugs
etc.).
In
short: Any product you shop
at AllThingsUs furthers our mission: To make the world a happier
place, on step at a time.
